My first internship was back in 2008 at a small ad agency, doing web design. Most of the projects I worked on it wasn’t about usability or complex UX flows, it was more like “Does this look cool or not?” I would design everything in Photoshop, write messy CSS in Dreamweaver, and upload files with FileZilla. Total chaos, but things got done. Today, we’re deep into metrics, flows, and polished deliverables. And that’s important, but sometimes I miss the speed. The “just try it” mindset. You don’t need to overthink every idea. Working in fast-paced places like ad agencies taught me how to move quickly without cutting corners. It’s a skill and it gets better with practice.
