The fake urgency of success

I think social media, especially LinkedIn, sells a fake image of what success looks like and how difficult and time-consuming it actually is to achieve it.

I started thinking about this after a quick chat with a designer friend of mine (you know who you are).
He’s a young designer (early 20s) feeling like he’s not doing enough, like he needs to be “better” to reach the kind of success we constantly see on LinkedIn.

But looks can be deceiving.
You never really know what someone is going through or how hard they’ve worked to get where they are.

I’ve been a designer for over 17 years, but my career only started to take the shape it has now after 10 years.
If you're going through something similar, don’t be so hard on yourself.
