What if Slash listened to the haters?

Back in 2020, I had already been a professional designer for many years (12, to be exact), and I remember wanting to do more than just design; I wanted to start creating courses!

I was so afraid and shy, constantly thinking about all the things people might say:
“Your voice sucks.”
“Who are you to teach me anything?”
“That’s wrong.”
“This course isn’t worth the money.”

I was terrified of how badly it could go, but I decided to give it a try anyway.
Creating courses, workshops, mentoring sessions, and meeting so many amazing people over the years is something I’m incredibly grateful for. And I honestly owe a lot of that to a book.

It said something like: “What if Slash had listened to the haters? Would he have kept playing guitar or just called it quits?”
That stuck with me.

Are you scared of taking the leap and doing something bold for your career?
Just go for it

(The book is The Subtle Art of Not Giving a Fck by Mark Manson.)
